Come explore and learn the basic skills and elements needed in transitioning from the photography into HD Video. This two-day seminar will investigate the concepts of story telling and what tools, skills and concepts are required in moving beyond the still and into the world of HD Video.
Day 1

- Basic Introduction to HDSLR Video - The nuts and bolts of using an HDSLR to create video.
- Adding a Little Spice – Some Filmmaking Concepts
- It’s All in the Story Pt 1 - Conceptualizing, Planning and Capturing a simple project.
- Apply a Little Technique - Using Basic Photographic Techniques to Capturing Basic Video
Day 2
- Your First Project – Plan and film a quick project
- What do I do now? – A top level approach to basic editing
- Video’s Gotta Move – Video-centric tools and their applications
- It’s All in the Story Pt 2 – Understanding the power of non-linear story telling
- Now what? - Interviews, Documentary and Beyond
Instructor Bio
Victor Ha is a former professional photographer that has transitioned into understanding the complexities of HDSLR filmmaking. Understanding the various challenges involved with making a transition from shooting stills to capturing video, Victor takes a very practical approach in explaining how to sidestep and overcome those various challenges. He has spent the last three years helping other photographers make the transition to HDSLR video by leveraging their photographic knowledge into filmmaking prowess
